Cornwall Wedding Photographer — Real Moments, Honestly Told

I’m Maryann, a Cornwall wedding photographer with 15 years of experience and a genuine passion for real, unscripted moments. Holding a BA and MA in Photography, I’ve spent over a decade and a half honing a style that’s natural, documentary, and quietly romantic. With over 200 weddings photographed across Cornwall and beyond — from clifftop ceremonies above the Atlantic to intimate barn receptions tucked into the Cornish countryside — I bring both the technical skill and the human warmth to capture your day exactly as it feels. I take on a limited number of weddings each year so every couple gets my full attention. Whether you’re planning a relaxed elopement or a full-day celebration, I’d love to tell your story.

Documentary Wedding Photography in Cornwall

My style is part documentary, part quietly romantic. I’ll catch the bridesmaid wiping a tear during the speeches, the groom’s hand finding the small of his partner’s back, the dog photo-bombing the family group. I won’t make you stand awkwardly in a row pretending to laugh. We’ll go for a wander instead — find some good light, talk about your week, let the camera do its thing while you forget I’m there.

Brides, grooms, partners of every kind — Cornwall weddings come in every shape, and so do the people getting married. Two brides, two grooms, partners and people of every gender — you’re all welcome here, and your love story will be told honestly, beautifully, and entirely on your terms.

Cornwall Wedding Venues I Love

Cornwall is my canvas. I work across the whole county and know its light intimately — from the beaches at St Ives and the cliffs above Porthleven, to the wide open moor at Bodmin, the hidden creeks of the Fal, the wild headlands of the Lizard, and the harbour at Padstow. Popular venues I’ve photographed include Trevenna, Knightor Winery, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Beacon Crag, Bosvathick, Pendennis Castle, Trelowarren, The Rosevine, and many intimate barn conversions and private estates across mid and west Cornwall. Wherever your day takes us, I’ll meet you there.

Covering All of Cornwall and Beyond

Based in mid Cornwall, I cover weddings across the whole county including Truro, St Ives, Penzance, Falmouth, Newquay, Padstow, Bodmin, Helston, St Austell, Looe, and the Isles of Scilly. I also travel regularly to Devon, Somerset, and beyond — travel fees may apply for weddings more than 60 miles from Truro.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book?
Most couples book 12–18 months ahead, especially for popular summer Saturdays. I only take a small number of weddings per year so I can give each one the attention it deserves — I’d recommend getting in touch as early as possible.

Do you photograph elopements?
Absolutely. Some of my favourite days have been small, intimate elopements — just the two of you, a wild Cornish headland, and a sense of adventure. Get in touch and we can design a day that fits exactly what you want.

What’s included in your packages?
All packages include a pre-wedding consultation, full-day coverage, a professionally edited online gallery, and print-quality downloads. Full details and pricing are on the pricing page.

Can we meet before booking?
Yes — I always recommend a call or video chat before booking so we can make sure we’re the right fit. I want you to feel completely comfortable with me on your wedding day.

Do you travel outside Cornwall?
Yes! I love destination weddings and have photographed across the UK and Europe. Just ask.

Ready to tell your story? I’d love to hear from you.

Hi, I'm Maryann

I'm a Cornwall wedding photographer based in mid Cornwall, and this county is my canvas. The beaches at St Ives, the cliffs above Porthleven, the wide open moor at Bodmin, the hidden creeks of the Fal, the wild headlands of the Lizard, the harbour at Padstow — wherever your love story takes us, I'll meet you there.

My style is part documentary, part quietly romantic. I'll catch the bridesmaid wiping a tear during the speeches, the groom's hand finding the small of his partner's back, the dog photo-bombing the family group. I won't make you stand awkwardly in a row pretending to laugh. We'll go for a wander instead — find some good light, talk about your week, let the camera do its thing while you forget I'm there.

Brides, grooms, partners of every kind — Cornwall weddings come in every shape, and so do the people getting married. Two brides, two grooms, partners and people of every gender, you're all welcome here, and your love story will be told the same way: honestly, beautifully, and entirely on your terms.

Real moments over perfection. Storytelling over staging. The good light, the goosebumps, the first dance under the fairy lights, the way you look at each other when you think no one's watching — that's what I'm here for. Find out about pricing and packages.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, I'd love to hear from you. Tell me about your day, your people, your venue, your dog. Let's make some photographs you'll actually want to print.

Client Testimonials

«Rebecca, married on 20/01/2024Thank you so much Maryann for everything, the photos are absolutely beautiful!! You made the whole day so easy and relaxed, we really appreciate everything you did. Highly recommend!»

«Where do I start! I have too many nice things to say about Maryanne! I and my husband had never had any Professional photos of us done, we wanted an engagement shoot and that’s when I stumbled across The Menagerie Lifestyle page. We wanted an outside and that was Walton on the Naze. It was an early evening shoot with our little dog as well and Maryanne & Nathan made us feel so comfortable. I was super happy with the engagement pictures when they came through and was so happy when Maryanne said she was able to do our wedding in Tenerife a few months later. Our day in Tenerife was about 35 degrees and everyone was so hot, in all the pictures you would never know that we were all dying of heat stroke. Maryanne captures moments in time that you never want to forget, I was getting ready with my bridesmaids and flower girls of all different ages. The room was a mess and we were all fanning each other, the pictures came out amazing! Something that I would have thought to have been chaos was perfection. I seriously cannot choose which photos I want to print out and put on the walls of our home as I love them all so much. I will always use The menagerie lifestyle for future shoots, whether it be for work, personal or family she is my go-to photographer. You will not regret going with them xx»

«Charlotte, married on 24/09/2022Such a wonderful photographer and I couldn't ask for more! Very friendly and professional. Has such a good eye for all sorts of brilliant shots. Will absolutely recommend her to anyone who is wanting their wedding day captured perfectly. She made us feel completely at ease the whole day and no question or request was too much.»

«Stephanie, married on 06/07/2024From the beginning Maryann was so easy to talk to and had fantastic ideas of what we wanted from our photos. She completely understood the vibe of our day and we couldn't be happier with our photos. She made us feel so relaxed and natural, and we didn't even feel like we were being photographed at times. The photos have been edited beautifully and we've had so many compliments on them. Would 100% recommend!»

«Amy S., married on 17/07/2020From start to finish there was nothing too much for Maryann. The day went seamlessly and she captured all of the special moments and small details along the way. The photographs are incredible and we will treasure them forever! We have had endless compliments on the photos and I have recommended Maryann to everyone looking for a photographer. We had also asked for some video footage and again Maryann delivered above and beyond with the most amazing video. Booking Maryann was one of the best decisions we made!»
