Natural, Relaxed Maternity Photography Across Cornwall

I’m Maryann, a Cornwall-based maternity photographer with a relaxed, documentary approach. Maternity sessions are one of my favourite things to photograph, there is so much tenderness in that time of waiting, and I love making images that capture the quiet joy and strength of it, wherever you are in Cornwall.

Sessions & Pricing

I keep things simple. A typical maternity session is 1–2 hours at a location that feels right for you, on a beach, in a bluebell wood, at home, or somewhere that means something to your family. You don’t need to pose. We’ll just spend time together and I’ll catch the moments in between.

Pricing starts from £250 for a standard session. Get in touch to talk through what would work best for you, I’m always happy to chat.

Maternity Photography Locations in Cornwall

Cornwall offers some of the most beautiful backdrops in the country for maternity photography. I photograph across the whole county, from the beaches of Porthcurno, Sennen, Kynance Cove and Carbis Bay, to the ancient woodland of Kennall Vale and Tehidy, the clifftops of the Lizard Peninsula, and the gentle creeks of the Helford Estuary. If you have a favourite spot, let’s go there.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time for a maternity shoot? Most people book between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable to walk and move. That said, every pregnancy is different, go with what feels right for you.

Do I need a partner or can it just be me? Both are wonderful. Solo maternity portraits are powerful and beautiful. If you want to include your partner, other children, or your dog, they are very welcome too.

What should I wear? Wear something you feel good in. Flowing dresses and soft fabrics work beautifully outdoors. I’ll send you a short style guide when you book. Most importantly, be comfortable, if you feel like yourself, it shows.

How far in advance should I book? I’d suggest booking at around 20–24 weeks to secure your preferred date and location, especially in summer when my diary fills quickly.
